Re: Astatheros Rostratus

It does sound like a good spot for the warmer time of the year. The only thing I would personally worry about is to try to catch them without much stress to get in to the pond and then again to get back inside the house..

But look at this fish younger, at my earlier pictures, see how many iridescent dots all over the body? I never see a female with these speckling. Also most female would have black p...

Re: Ex Cichlasoma Festae

This Festae male did some growing from my last post. I use to have 2 males and this one is the only one I keep now. As expected too much hate to have 2 in the same 220 gal tank, but I am happy to end up with beautiful specimen! He would probably be much bigger in the same period of time if large old...

Re: Astatheros Rostratus

Thank you for comments my old friends 8) @ Lee: They show constant interest to each other spawning activity wise, lately with the only exception of laying eggs, I believe last time they produce eggs over a year ago. May be it's age related.. based on my first post in this thread they around 6 y old!...

Re: Habitat video/Cenote Azul/JDs, uropthalmus, melanurum

Nice video, thanks for sharing! I am sure you've enjoyed the trip. I snorkel in that area few times. Cenote Azul and Eden, not far from each other. I rent the car and drove there, pay the fee to enter and spent many hours enjoying natural habitat. I remember very small shallow pool of water in the w...
