Can't say anything about C. chetumalensis, but your fish do look a lit like spilurus. Hello, really nice fish but in my opinion they are not A. macracanthus, they look more like some kind of Paratheraps, I have never seen A macracanths with a lateral line. I think you got it right there, the one in the blue circle, as far as I remember rio Copan is also called Rio Shalagua or Rio Xalagua, hope this helps.

Just one question, how do you diference the C. chetumalensis from the C. spilurus? they seem the same to me.

Thank you for your answers, thats what I wanted to know, I wonder if this species is still present in the lake, I will try to make a trip to the lake one of this days and maybe ask some fishermen for some info. I will let you know what I find.
