Re: Please help ID

Here are some photos of them when they aren't as stressed. I believe the prominenty barred one at the bottom of each photo is a female since she has been cleaning and defending the stone she is next too and has done some pre spawning activity with the large orange fish with black on top. Please help ID

Hi All,

I have some fish that were sold to me as "Red Devils" but I'm not too sure what they are exactly since trade names often mislabel a.labiatus and a. cintrinellus. Unfortunately, I cannot provide provenance since they were bought at a LFS who got some from a distributor and some as trade ins.

What would a Bella Union biotope look like?

Just picked up 8 c. Dimerus fry and would like 2 set up a biotope tank for them. I believe that these are descendants of a ken Davis line that were collected in Bella Union. I'm thinking of putting them in a 55 gallon with some balzani and a shoal of buenos aires tetras or blood fin tetras. But how ...

What is a gold aureus?

I was at a LFS today and stumbled upon some fish labeled "gold aureus." I know it's just a trade name, anyone have any ideas? I know that red aureums are actually T. Maculippinsis/Ellioti. I'm pretty sure it wasn't T. Mac. This fish in question was a juve fish, that looked like T. Helleri. from this...
