The Cichlid Room Companion

One of my tanks i noticed has these little white water bugs in it... they almost look like little crabs but are almost microscopic.. they are on the glass and hop around inside the water... None of my other 30 tanks have them and the tank is clean and all that... i took the fish out and tried to tre...

I have a similiar cichlid i tried to get an ID for... One thing i can tell you is that its deffinately not a protomelus taenotolis...I would guess your fish is a fryerei... also the "tangerine tiger" is referred to as protomelas taenotolis (likoma island) and also steveni... All in all my fish is DEFFINATELY not even close to a tangerine tiger.

definately not a freyeri... Maybe the pics are a little misleading. This fish has orange and yellow on the fins. Ill try to get some more pics up.
