Protomelas annectens (Regan, 1922)

Conservation: Protomelas annectens is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (LC) least concern (2006). Protomelas annectens is never seen in large numbers (see feeding behavior) but is common all around the lake (much more so than C. moorii). There are no known threats to its existence.
