Highly respected and experienced aquarist, Pam has visited cichlid habitats around the world, and bred in her's and her husband Gary fish house hundreds of cichlid species. FRESHWATER ECOREGIONS OF THE WORLD: The Freshwater Ecoregions of the World have been jointly developed by the Conservation Science Program of World Wildlife Fund and by The Nature Conservancy. They reflect groupings of ecoregions with similar biological, chemical, and physical characteristics. We have organized Cichlidae distribution according to the FEOW. You can visit each ecoregion with the menu presented in this page and browse the drainages, localities and cichlid species registered for it.
