Benthochromis melanoides (Poll, 1984)
Original description as Haplotaxodon melanoides:
- Poll, Max. 1984. "Haplotaxodon melanoides sp. n. du lac Tanganika (Pises, Cichlidae).". Revue de Zoologie et Botanique Africaines. v. 98(n. 3), pp. 677-681 (crc00242).
Conservation: Benthochromis melanoides is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (LC) least concern (2006).
