• Crenicichla clancularia Ploeg, 1991, With type locality at Buenavista, Santa Cruz, Río Mamoré system, Mato Grosso, Bolivia. Determiner: Reis, 2003.

Conservation: Crenicichla semicincta is not evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species
