Tilapia nyongana Thys Van Den Audenaerde, 1971
Original description as Tilapia (Coptodon) nyongana:
- Thys van den Audenaerde, Dirk F.E.. 1971. "Some new data concerning the Tilapia -species of the subgenus Coptodon (Pisces, Cichlidae)". Revue de Zoologie et Botanique Africaines. pp. 160-168 (crc00979).
Conservation: Tilapia nyongana is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (LC) least concern (2010).
