最初命名為 Archocentrus myrnae:

保育: Cryptoheros myrnae 尚未被國際自然保育聯盟列入IUCN受威脅物種紅皮書名單中The extensive cultivation of banana in the restricted area of distributon of this species, particularly in the Rio Estrella in Costa Rica and the province of Boca del Toro in Panama with the consequent use of toxic agrochemicals has have a negative impact on the fish populations of these drainages and represents a major threat to this species (Loiselle, 1997).
