Haplochromis nigrescens (Pellegrin, 1909)
Original description as Astatotilapia nigrescens:

Conservation: Haplochromis nigrescens is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (DD) data deficient (2010).
