Haplochromis niloticus Greenwood, 1960
Original description as Haplochromis niloticus:

Synonyms:
- Tilapia bayoni Boulenger, 1911, With type locality at Kakindu, Victoria Nile, Uganda. Determiner: Greenwood, 1960.
Conservation: Haplochromis niloticus is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (DD) data deficient (2010).
