I'm Dan Woodland from the north coast near Cleveland, Ohio. I've been raising Cichlids for over 30 years. I have 35 tanks, most house tank busters as my good friend Lee pointed out, and I've been on 10 collecting trips since 1998 and plan on many many more.

My best friend is Jake, of course.

here's one of me after my first throw with a casting net in Uruguay - last January. I am quite wet, because I first had to loosen the net from some wood (NOT my throw) but it was succesful

Image

It has been my first colecting trip, but not my last - I intend to go next January again, there's more of Uruguay to see

Ah, the woes of cast netting! Always make sure you are the thrower not the throwers “bee-atch”! Dan

This is the hubby and I the day after we got married in Las Vegas, two years ago. Too much sun, too much walking and we still can't get those stupid smiles off our faces. ;) Famous last words "but honey, it's only like an inch on the map at the hotel, three miles later, in August!"

We live in Spokane, WA, within a couple hours drive of the Canadian border and a half hour from Idaho. We only have 3 dogs, a cat and 22 tanks at the moment. I love being in the company here. You guys make me feel downright normal!

Hi,

I am a guy at 28 years, which got cichlids for 20 years and marine tanks for 5 years.

I am contactperson for NCS in Denmark ( Scandinavian cichlid association ) http://www.ciklid.se

I have been sales manager for Pangea Rocks, which are making public aquariums and zoo ( Legoland, Aqua Doom, The Deep ) http://www.pangea.dk and http://www.aquarium-background.com

Now I work at Eldorado, which own the aquarium company AkvaStabil.

I have just been building backgrounds and filter at the world most expensive hotel in the world in Dubai, where we should install background in 5 aquariums at about 3,000-3,500 l.

My ongoing project is in my basement, which will be one large cave, where there will be Pangea Rocky backgrounds at the walls and at the ceiling.
There will be 3x900 l. with cichlids, 1x900 l. Marine tank, 1x500 l. Marine tank, 1x250 l. marine tank, 1x325 l. Cichlidtank and a shelves with cichlidfry. All tanks are AkvaStabil Effectline with the new Sunriser system and will be with Pangea and BTN background.

Here is two pictures of my 720 l. AkvaStabil Effectline:

Hi

Medeiros? That´s a portuguese name! By the way, there is a wild population of Xenopus in Oeiras, probably besides the one in England it´s the only other one in Europe.

I just realized that I haven’t posted any pictures of myself, but now I have a good opportunity: friday morning I became the proud father of a beautiful and healthy little girl. Me and my daughter two hours after she was born:

Isn’t she cute?
