Postby bblovesae » Fri May 11, 2012 1:07 am

hello! today I bought a juvenile cichlid labeled as geophagus jurupari, however, I believe it to be satanoperca leucosticta. it would be awesome if someone could help me identify him/her and tell me how to sex them.

Hello, for me it look like young Satanoperca mapiritensis - regarding special ornament on forehead ( see my some old topic about S. mapiritensis) but also regarding bigest quantity of round spots on head. Greetings!
