Just curious if anyone knows how thick the glass is on the average 10 gallon tank? And also if this thickness can be cut by scoring? I want to make a tank like this.
<-thanks Fmueller Actually it would be cool to have a small rack of these for shellies and cory cats.

It does not matter how thick the glass is, scoring it correctly (one continuous score/motion) will dictate how well the glass will cut or in this case "snap".
As for the glass thickness for making tanks, you can use any thickness as long as it meets the length and thickness recommendations here...http://saltaquarium.about.com/od/planasystem/ig/Guide-Charts--Tables--Diagrams/Glass-Thickness-Calculator.htm
Obviously thicker glass can be used for larger to smaller tanks (backward compatible) and thinner glass can only be used on small tanks (not upwardly compatible).
I hope that helps.

A ten gallon tank is constructed of 1/8" glass.
