Herichthys Bartoni Spawn Pics

Discussion about cichlids from Central America

Hi

The cichlids from Media Luna area live in a water with extreme caracteristics, very hard and alcaline, it seems from the measurements made that it corresponds to a significant degree to their needs. For instance the yellow Labridens are proof of the dificulty of mantaining them even just alive. The other species from Central America generally are not demanding at all about hardness and alcalinity, I agree.

TFG thanks for posting that video. Bartoni is a fish I have always liked but I have never watch them in a video or seen them in person. How are they as parents. Hopefully they are not quick to consume there fry. I like them. Maybe one day!

They were doing great as parents until against my better judgement I removed the conspesifics. Then they ate their fry.

They are all settled in and happy. The 125 will give them some room to grow. Thanks again. You are the best!!!
