fish room heaters

looking to heat my whole fish room 18ft x 26ft. what type, brand, electric,ventless gas heaters do you use, suggest?

That's actually a pretty big room... is it in a free-standing building, your basement?

Is there Central heat as well?

Is it well insulated?

uts in my basement, and will be insulated. there is a duct from the furnace into the room.

My current fishroom is similarly situated (room in basement with duct).

I only heat a couple of the large tanks and a couple of tank with fish that need higher temps. This keeps the tanks ~78 for upper rack, ~74 for the middle and lower (68 or so) for the bottom one. I little lower in the winter. I try to keep SA fish on the top rack, CAs in the middle and Uruguayan on the bottom.

I do not provide any additional heat to the room...

If you are going to have a duct pumping air (hot OR cold) into your fish room, you also need a return vent. This helps prevent your furnace/ac from working too hard. If there is no return vent nearby, a vent in the door would suffice.

My fishroom is only half the size of your room. My room is on the house hotwater heat system and has its own thermostat set at 80°F/26°C. The room has extra insulation in the walls. It probably is the least expensive way to heat a fishroom.
