New Editor

Hello OCA friends!

If you were at the last meeting you might have heard that I'm the new editor of our online bulletin. I'm really excited about this opportunity. My top priority as editor is to make our bulletin a reflection of our club. My goal is not to make a bulletin that is the OCA through Jombie's eyes... I want everyone's perspective.

The only way this is possible is through member contribution. I want you to send me ideas, suggestions, pictures, articles, blogs, criticisms... anything you want published and that you think would make our bulletin better. If you want a monthly article, let's talk. If you are starting a fish room renovation, let's document it in a three part feature. If you are raising an awesome fish, give me a pic and a paragraph. I want you to be a part of the bulletin. I want outsiders to join just to follow the happenings in the OCA.

What is the deadline for articles, reports and announcements ?

I'm publishing on January 25th, so I need everything no later than January 20th... articles earlier if you like my sanity.

We need catfish articles! I want a monthly feature called Catfish Corner... I'm talking about pleco breeding tips, feeding ideas, cold water set ups for those fish Steve loves... who's going to make this happen?

Make a commitment to the Bulletin my friends... a small effort goes a long way.

REMEMBER FOLKS... Members can send in fish ads for the "Fish Market" section of the Bulletin. It's a great way to sell your fish. Not too many people take advantage of it, but as a historical piece, it would be cool to look back on older bulletins and see what our club was selling.

As Historian, I take care of the OCA's collection of bulletins, going back to the first one in 1983, and it is interesting to look at old Want and Sell ads. Maybe I'll send Jombie a few for inclusion in the bulletin.
