I've bought these fish as V.fenestrata. What do you think about them? The male is above and the female is below.

definitely Paratheraps fenestratus. Nice ones too! What info did you get about them?

Thank's for a quick reply.
Sorry, I've forgotten that some of the past Viejas should be named Paratheraps now. Maybe that's because the rest fish in my tank are Viejas - I mean V. argentea and V. regani.
To be honest I know nothing about them excluding the place of their birth - somewhere in Poland so they are not wild caught :)

Those are some lovely looking fenestratus. The flash on the camera has caught the incadesence on the fins and flanks beautifully.

Thank's for your answers and opinions. I'm glad to read that they're pure.

Their tank mates:
V. argentea - I think this one year old fish is a male. Am i right?

a pair?

V. regani - I have no idea how to find the differences between males and females. They are about 14 cm

Pretty P. fenestratus you got, Bernard! You haven't shown them to me :D And that about argenteas, that's still actual 8)

BTW, I believe its way too early to say about pair bond of your V. argentea. However, I'm no specialist.
Cheers

I wasn't able to show them because they weren't mine that time. I bought them a few weeks ago. :)
