My 180 project - phase III - the stand

I built a simple framed stand from 2x4’s. Like most, it’s overkill, but lumber is cheap.

I used the tank to lay out the holes for the drains and returns.

I used a pine board for the exterior. Trimming it out here.

Knowing my limitations, I had the doors custom made from an online source.

All finished out with doors attached.

I was planning to bump it up tight against the wall, so holes and notches for wiring were cut.

The tank sits on a thin layer of foam and a plywood panel.

With canopy, ready for staining.

I added pieces at the back corners to finish it out.

Next up, fill and setup day.
