So I decided from time to time I will post pics of different tanks in my fish room. For the first one I have chosen my breeding group of Black Calvus.
In the pot on the right is the male and under the hydro sponge, is the female. The female loves to curl up in the shells.
Here is a close up of the male.

I received this pair from a member of the OCA and about 6 weeks later, I was walking by the tank and noticed the sand was "moving" I looked closer and it was indeed Black Calvus fry!
At first I was able to suck about 10 to 15 fry from the tank and put them into a 10 gallon to raise. There was still about 10 to 15 left in the tank with the parents that I wasn't able to put into the 10 gallon. After about a week or two the 10 or so fry that were in with the parents were thriving, so I put the other fry from the 10 gallon in with the parents, and as you can see from the pic, they are doing fine.
