Hi everyone, this sunday i went on a fishing trip to the pacific coast of Guatemala and this is what i found:
it apears that there was a fish explotion

because of the floodings caused by the severe wheather, it made the rivers overflown and it apears that the fish went crazy spawning, i pulled over by the side of the highway where there were some fisherman fishing with casting nets, i got out of the car and theres where i realized the amount of fish there were in the river, im going to try to upload a short video taken with my cellphone, the sad part is that i think that most of this fish were snake head frys, at least they looked like them, i took some pictures with my cellphone but because of the sunlight i couldnt focus and i took some realy bad pictures thats why i dont include them in this post. i asked the fishermen what they where fishing and he answered pupos and mojarras (in english sort of tadpoles and tilapias), he threw the casting net again and he catched over 50 fish realy easy and he took them to the land where i was, i asked him if i could take some that i was from a college and that i was doing a study

, he agreed and he started to give me several fish, he gave me arround 10, one of them was one of the ones that i think were snakehead, all the others where cichlids

, i started looking at them and immediatly i recognized a really beautifull A. Trimaculatum wich i put aside, then i saw this tiny fish with a red line in the caudal fin and a red belly, at first i thougt it was a T. Meeki, but i think there are no Meekis in Guatemala´s pacific, so can you please tell me what kind of fish its this please, i attach fotos of the other fish i was able to get, i was able to identify only the trimaculatum, again im realy sorry for the bad quality of the photos and i will try to upload the video for you to see all those fish in the river.
A. trimaculatum already on my fish tank

This is the fish i need ID please

this is other fish the fisherman gave me but i didnt bringed it with me

by the way can you tell me what kind of fish its this?, i caught it in lake amatitlan where i think can be found P. Motaguensis and Tilapias
