bujurquina sp yellow

hi all
i purchased 5 of these today and was wondering if anone has any information on them.the owner of the shop caught them himself he said they were caught in a feeder river to the river tacana just before the border to brazil.here's a few pics.

Nice, good luck with them! Judging from the color pattern, especially the position of the dark bar on the cheek, this could be Bujurquina peregrinabunda, the locality would also not speak against such an identification.

Bujurquina are beautiful, highly interesting fishes; but for some obscure reason, they are largely neglected in the hobby. I had B. syspilus a few years ago, these were rather peaceful even when breeding, but they did eat characins like Hasemania nana or Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis, so the tank companions should not be too small.
