No...not really...when you read my last post...i buy this fish as a Mtoto Wild Collected from a "friend" in germany and he buy the Fish at Maltavi(germany) as Wild Collected from Mtoto...

And i can tell...every man looks other than the next one..i got 4 Males...from black with white flank to brown black and white ... ;)

Its the same Fish on the right side on the Mtoto Pics from Angsthase viewtopic.php?f=23&t=4713&p=28355#p28355

My Dewindti took all the sand in the tank and put it in the corner and built his nest. I put more sand in the empty end and took all of that also.

Creepy85,

Unless your fish seller's are better at determination than Genevelle/Buscher here is how they call the fish you picture:

http://www.tanganyika-cichlids.com/o_ve ... _fin_2.htm

Looks like Zongwe to me. A major fish distributor here misindentifies them also. See the yellow in your fish's tail and dorsal? Zongwe. M'toto has no yellow.

Hi there,

i asked buescher and s. loose himself about the congo ventralis.

Buescher say, the black and white variant is so virtouse and colourfull, mtotos and moba are the same fishes, and mtotos has yellow in the flanks, my other male:

 Please use a Translator, i did´t find many words, to write this in Englisch.

Literal translation from babelfish:

I said it already times, I acquired the fish as game catch over an acquaintance, bought to that the fish at that time with Maltavi (Zierfischzucht and importer). The Sven Danhieux has me that it game catches is again zuversichert. I have with Siegfried Loose (German Featherfin expert (fadenmaulbrüter.de)) spoken about which could not give me exact information, since he did not dip yet in the Congo. I asked Bü (with the color form side over the Kongoventralis…), which said, the fish are variable colored which, which fish occur there, those are nearly white and seizes black….similarly as with the orange Capmorphe behaves with Kalambo to Bismarck POINT (Kasanga) in Tanzania. There nearly blue animals arise and which with orange cap, and some only with black strut.

I posted the webpage. There are clear photos there. As Mr. Smith often mentions on this site, relying on a seller's information is sometimes faulty. Identification by an expert can be helpful. Here, Buescher and Genevelle have identified the fish.
