I am posting this as to why some some of my emails may not get answered. I don't want anyone to think i'm ignoring them as I would not do that.

I was planning on going to the OCA extravaganza as I have the past few years but do to a family member becoming seriously ill this week I will not be going this year.

I apologize to everyone who inquired about the fish I have offered, to those I was deliver fish to, and to those I was to pickup fish from.

Good morning friends

My mother was admitted to the nursing home 6 months ago with alzheimers because my father could not take care of her because of his failing health. The last two weeks we have had to feed her and two days ago her body began to shutdown and were just waiting now.

My father had to be admitted 5 days ago to the same nursing home for iv's for problems he's having and this has really taken a toll on his recovery.Because of their different medical problems and insurance issues he was not allowed to stay in the same room with her but yesterday was given permission to do so.

They have been married 63 years.

Alzheimers is a terrible disease. Some of you may have been thru this and to those who have not, I pray you never have to go thru it with a loved one.

Mark,

I've had an encounter with Alzheimer's and know what a devastating disease it is for a family to have to endure.
Those who've never had to deal with this on a personal level can't imagine what a devastating and frustrating ordeal it is.

I wish you all the best and remember that we are all thinking about you.

I have been there when I was a child with a grandparent. It was bad then, I can't imagine going through that with a loved one now. Your family will be in my prayers as you deal with all this.

It’s certainly a very tough thing to go through as we've done in our family. It’s a hideous disease robbing us of numerous things later in life.

Mark, my thoughts are with you and your family. If you need an escape or to relax for a few minutes come see your fish friends this weekend.

Wow! There are some really great people here. I am proud to have joined such a class organization. Mark, we haven't met, but I hope everything works out. Your comment about the health insurance really bummed me out. Your parents have been married that long, it is a real shame they are not allowed to share a room. Good luck, MIKE

I thank you all very much for your thoughts and prayers but my mother lost her battle late saturday night. I have to say though we are thankful that my father is recoverimg phiscally enough to attend the funeral wednesday.
