The RSS feed is a good idea. I have used a program Magpie in the past to collect and display RSS feeds, I believe their can either handle generation of a feed or their community would be a good stepping stone to find a piece of software to handle this.

I spend too much time reading about cichlids... :-) What is a RSS feed? I would like to consider it.

It would be a solution for CRC's afficionados to know in real time when new pics or article are available on CRC without having necessary to verify the "what's new" page.
To resume, their RSS reader would tell them each time "there is something on CRC, click there", and then they'll just have to click to go directly on CRC right page.

Pretty cool! I could work out a RSS for the whatsnew section and one for the CRC Cichlid catalogue to show when species profiles have been updated, that is pretty exciting! Now to learn how to do it!

RSS

Alright, there is a sample beta RSS feed for the updates of the species in the catalogue, is yet not public but it will keep the same URL, so you can add it to your feeds reader and let me know what you think. A problem seems to be I can not make the species names to appear in Italics.

Thanks. It works with google reader and with Firefox. There may be some format error with Internet Explorer but unfortunately the Feeds validator I am using (http://feedvalidator.org/) is not working at the moment. I will try to check on that later today.

Great, but the last novelties should be in the top of page.
I find that it is a big advance anyway.

Thank you ! ;)

PS: I tryed many RSS viewers and in my opinion the best one is the Firefox add-on: "Brief". Very light and simple of use.
You can download it there: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4578

Ok, it was fair at the time of the reception of the last 50 already online articles. It is therefore perfect. 8)

Thank you very much !
