Never heard that name. The only Metriaclima I can think of with magunga in it on the top of my head is M. sp. msobo deep. I can't see that being the correct species though. :?:

yeah, i cant find much with that name. The only other options i come up with are Met. white blaze Manda or Met. sp. Blue blaze. Wonder if maybe it would happen to be one of these. still waiting for pics from the guy.

Thanks for reply so far.

Probably you'll get more answer with Maylandia instead of Metriaclima......

Silver blaze is a commercial name. The correct name is Metriaclima fainzilberi.

No, many mbuna have OB females. Fainzilberi is common in Magunga and have OB and blue/brown females.

I would go with Metriaclima sp. white blaze 'Magunga' - so you don't lose the location.

Sorry for the Thread pushing.

I got the "Silver Blaze" Mbuna for a couple of Times.

Correctly this is Maylandia(or Metriaclima) zebra collected at the Coastline between Ikombe and Manda(North-East Part of the Lake). They life similar with M. fainzilberi & M. callainos.

A couple of old Pictures from M. zebra Makonde WC and M. zebra Manda F1
