No Fred, are not mine...but give some time I have purchased from a Burundi importer so they should be pond raised. They are now just 5 cm and will stay on that tank for only a few months. I am plannig a 2000 liter tank for them...

Your taste in fish is superb! Your C.F. Mbete is looking good. I hope his girls are getting ready too!

Your O.V. Zongwe is gorgeous too! Those are very aggressive boys, aren't they?

I have a suggestion for the tank with the melanogenys, please peel off that salt water background and paint the glass on the back of that tank with black acrylic paint. Your fish will show so much better.

Yes that's O.nasuta wild caught, importeur had only 3 pieces. Some another pics on my website. Today, i have only their descendants-young fishes.

For the first time i will post here a reply. First a short intruducion. I am Joey van Antwerpen lives in Rotterdam Netherlands (Yes not for from Verduijn Cichlids) I am 22 years old and i am the Administrator of a dutch Tanganyika cichlid website. I am keeping now about 1,5 year 4 Xenotilapia sp. "Papilio Sunflower". Since i have them, i only love the sand-dwellers and other species olso are beautiful but Xenotilapia is my favorite. Of my cichlids there is 1 couple that have now for the 6th time a breed. In totaal i have now 11 childeren of the swimming in my tank. Here a some pictures:
