Jumped to quick?

Postby SouthernBlood » Sat Nov 20, 2004 10:19 pm

Well I have a 90gal tank and a few months ago gave a red zebra, socolofi and a johani to a friend because they were a little to aggressive for my taste. Anyway a few weeks ago I came across 3 Pseudeotropheus polits for sale $4.00 a piece. 2 adult males and I think a smaller female. I didn't know the one was a subdominant male at first. Now I'm wondering if I jumped at the deal a little to quick. I have also in the tank a lamp bichardi, a cyc moorii, a rusty and two yellow labs. The dominant polit male as certainly taken over the whole tank. I'm now thinking of taking the 3 polits and trading them into the lfs.

SouthernBlood : Managing the aggression of male cichlids in your tank, is a very important factor for all hobbyists. You need a proper amount of territory and a good harem ratio of females, depending on the species.
If you fine your new additions 3 Pseudeotropheus polits do not fit into your current mix and are causing problems. Then Go with what you think is best and what your gut is telling you, and return them back to your LFS and get a credit for them.

If it was so,it might be;and if it were so,it would be;but as it isn't,it ain't.That's logic.Tweedledee.Image
