Paretroplus nourissati / lamena - The Spawn I've Been Waiting For!

Post by Jim Cumming » Mon Jul 11, 2016 12:47 am

This may be the spawn I've been waiting for. So far, my success with Paretroplus nourissati has been marginal. Despite several spawns, I've only been able to raise a handful of young of this most challenging species. I think I've worked out a few kinks and hope that this time, I will get a good hatch and hopefully raise a good number. We shall see.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm hopeful of a good result. I pulled the spawn and it's a large one for this species. Looks like upwards of 300 eggs. Now if they'll only hatch and free swim :?

I have three good sized batches of fry on the go. It turned out well.
