Just an update, the eggs hatched while I was away and the fry are doing well. I removed 2/3 and separated them into two tanks to insure viable specimens. This species has not been in the US so I am excited to make it available.

Congrats José !

How are the babies ? Now they must be showing the "tilapia-spot" in the dorsal fin.
Best regards, Michael

Hi Michael:
The fish are indeed showing the tilapia spot already, they are about 1/2 inch now and feeding really well. I may have about 200 fry and the parents should be getting ready for another try. I appreciate your kindness sending the fish to me. This particular species is one of my most desired cichlid fish! I'll post more pictures as they grow.
Best regards
Jose
