dithers

Hi all!
Im trying to figure out a dither for my 75g. The future tang inhabitants will be: 4-6 'Lamprologus' multifasciatus, 2 Altolamprologus calvus (inkfin, or white), 4-6 Julidochromis ornatus. I'm trying to figure out a dither. Right now the tank has 5 gold barbs in it. I'm looking for something relatively cheap, since i'm going to be dropping a lot of money on the rest haha. I don't want cyps! I was thinking some type of tetra? But i'm not sure because when i've been trying to search things online most people looking for dithers are putting them into a former species only tank. Ideas? I don't care if they breed or not.
