Pseudotropheus demasoni

Postby Dan Woodland » Wed Feb 27, 2008 10:11 pm

It's been along time since I've kept a Malawi Mbuna. I like the varied coloration. They re also quite friendly posing for all the pictures I want. It also gave me the opportunity to play with exposures and different backgrounds in one photo session. Okay, the tank is at work and I was bored :P

I stripped 5 females today. I was surprised by the tiny size of the fry. Each Female had about 10 fully developed fry each which also surprised me. It's an interesting fish being different than all the other Mbuna I've raised and bred. I'll be interested to see if the fry eat as voraciously as the parents. I look forward to raising the youngsters.
