Cynotilapia sp.

Postby why-spyder » Tue Jun 19, 2007 1:31 pm

I had a male, female, and offspring from the pair. They all looked the same and didn't have any funky bars. After a lot of research and looking, I think I've come to the conclusion that they were hybrids. I'm a self-proclaimed "Cynotilapia Nut" and haven't come across anything like these. All are no longer around. Anyone seen anything like these guys around anywhere?

I've had/have quite a few Cynotilapia species and haven't had anything as aggressive as the male of this. He was the one that put my Pseudo. elongatus in place everytime. I believe I had read/heard that hybrids can be more aggressive - which would make this species fit the "profile" of hybrid.

Any thoughts or comments would be great. Enjoy the pictures.
