Postby Nikhil » Fri Jul 31, 2009 12:41 am

Hello everyone,

I had picked these fish labeled as Heros efasciatus sp. 'inirida' these were imported from Jeff rapps. I will be really grateful if i can get a positive id on them.

It looks a nice male Heros Efasciatus.
I can't say it's Inrida looking at the picture of juvenile you posted, unless it's lighting and your fish actually have 8 stripes, not 9 as it looks.
Inirida would have only 8 stripes while others H.Efasciatus 9.
Look at my old thread, it's other member Irinida pictures and tons of useful information.

Also the CRC member Scheppy (Mike) keeping H.Irinida and if you search for his threads, you'll find beautiful adult fish pictures.

Hi Alex,

Wow i saw your thread and the other one you had mentioned and yes mine do seem just like a normal H. efasciatus. Either the importer or Rapps might have labelled them wrong. But well i am enjoying the ones i have now longing to have the true H. sp 'inirida'.
