Cleithacara maronii - sexually mongamous?

Postby UriB » Tue Aug 23, 2011 5:40 pm

G'day readers, I'm hoping to find an answer to the title's question; "Are Keyhole cichlids sexually monogamous?"
I am currently investigating whether I can take an established pair (or two, if the case presents its self) and perform a 'Wife Swap' cichlid style! My current pair have successfully spawned several times but I'm about to introduce two more male-female combinations, so, can I separate my female from her partner and put her with a new male and I don't mean Ménage à trois

one of the lucky males (possibly)

if I were a fish, I'd be a........uhmmmm.........a fish!
