Great job OCA

Postby joesfish » Sun Nov 22, 2009 9:36 pm

I just wanted to say that I had a great time at the Extravaganza and enjoyed every part of being there. It's always fun seeing old friends and making new ones, the Extravaganza is a great place to do this. Seeing how I live so close I just go home and night, but next year I don't want to mix anything and it sounds like a lot is going on pretty late so I'm going to stay at the hotel next year. Thanks again OCA and keep up the great job.

Thank you OCA for another excellently organized weekend of fun, fish and fellowship. I don't know how you guy's do it and to be honest, I don't really care. JUST KEEP DOING IT......... This is by far the classiest fish convention in NA.

See ya next year........ Image

I'll tell you what, this was the first year at the extravaganza for me as a board member... A lot of work but I still had just as much fun if not more fun than years past! Hey Don, got any jewel cichlids? Maybe a pair?

I thought he was referring to Kyle, and just hit the L which is right next to the K. Either way, you deserve thanks as well!

I should have thought of that, especially since Kyle did way more than I. I didn't mean to be, but I guess I was FISHing for a compliment!

I have a few photos :D

I hope others will post some too - Jombi's looks awesome! It will take me a few days to process mine, since I went a little overboard and ended up with about 2000 jpgs

But upon popular request, here are some teasers:

Image
Best of Show, Ron Gorgeone's Amphilophus citrinellus 'Orange & White'

Image
Reserve Best of Show, Scott Meyer's Aulonocara stuartgranti 'Ngara Flametail'

Image
Best Catfish of Show, Wayne Toven's Synodontis greshoffi

The OCA donates $1000 from it's Jim Smith Fund for the Stuart M Grant Cichlid Conservation Fund under the stewardship of Ad Konings. The money will support local people in Malawi in their efforts of protecting cichlid populations in Lake Malawi against irresponsible and illegal overfishing.

Hey frank, did you happen to get a picture of my big cat, the L. Longibarbus, he didn't place but someone on planet catfish was asking if I had a picture... He's back in the pond already so picture taking on my end is out of the question :)

Great pics guys!! Love love love em!

Good times!!
