Michael, I really like them too. When I finally get my tank, it's very possible I'll acquire some :D

Bob, quick glance at e.g. Michael's website -> They get to 25~30cm. 8)
Cheers

Yes that's True Piotr 8)

They can grow to a size of 25 to 30cm.. i had a group adults with that size and they did not grow larger.. they are active fish and very intrestting. and not difficult to keep 8)

Here a recent movie of my pair with larves.

Keep them in a group this works fine for me.. they are not very agressive ;)
Greetings Michael.

Hi Piotr,

They are around the 4cm and they need to grow ;)
The gibbiceps are in a 2meter tank.. they will be placed in a 200x70x60cm toggether with the Theraps that was my plan 8)

Here a picture of my old pair..

These are from the Rio Chacamax 8)

Very impressive water movement in the YouTube! What equipment are you using to achieve this flow rate?

@Alex, Thanks for the comment, 8) I think you can ask Don Conkel for the Red belly octofasciatus, he had these a time ago on his stocklist and they are the same as mine. from the Rio Sarstoon. I'm very curious when i see the red belly by this fish.
@fevelasco, I use 3 pumps to get the flow in the tank. one of them is a Eheim compact 5000+ and a big pump on my filter. this works well for me to get in the whole tank a nice flow.
It's trying to get the good circulation to place the outputs from the pumps on different places in the tank. I want to make a movie of the whole tank soon 8)
Greetings Michael.
