Good question! I am curious as well, as I just picked up one the other day. It is still very small (2in), but I am hoping it will color up once it puts on some size!

I too have seen many different pictures of Hartwegi and a lot of them look very different. I have heard a lot of the more intensely colored ones are rarely pure Hartwegi and are actually hybrids. I'm not sure that's really the case though...

I can't answer your question but here's what my pair look like... male blueish, female more yellowish-red.

Wow! those are beautiful. Are they F0?, where do you find that variety? / i think i will start a search of P. Hartwegi, because i like it a lot. I have a 480 liter tank, maybe i could get a pair on it.

If someone have P. Hartwegi, please share some photos.

Thanks a lot!
