Etroplus maculatus

What's the minimum size tank for these, recommended water chemistry and diet and tank mates, substrate, lighting, decor, etc?

Could a couple for example be kept in a 40gallon (us gallons) tank? And I believe it is a 40g breeder tank, not a 40g long tank. If you need me to provide exact measurements I'll post them later.
