Xenotilapaia sima identification please

A place to discuss the wonderful assemblage of lake Tanganyika cichlids from the tribe Ectodini, like Callochromis, Xenotilapia, Enantiopus, Cyathopharynx and Ophthalmotilapia!

Post by lester001uk » Wed Mar 12, 2014 9:46 am

Hi all, im new on this forum but not new to Tanganyika biotop. I recently purchased group of 6 xenotilapias, they only about 4- 5 cm and obviously not shoving any colours yet. I bought them as xenotilapia sima but for me they looks slightly different. What your opinion?

I think the problem is that most of the internet pictures are wrong and show boulengeri for sima.
