Aggressive Male foai

Post by 900801 » Fri Feb 28, 2014 5:04 am

Hi guys, recently I've gotten this pair of foai and the male is getting really aggressive. Have placed more rocks and added an extra female but he is still very aggressive. Any recommendation?

What size tank are they in? How many males and females?

Tank is way too small and the number of fish too little. They need at least a 6' tank. The male will most likely kill the females in such a small space before he kills himself crashing into the end of the tank. I would suggest either getting a bigger tank or getting rid of them. I have kept them in a 72 x 24 x 30" tank and would never keep them in anything smaller than a 6' 180g tank. Hopefully whoever sold them to you will take them back.
