Cichlids + pond = ??

Postby JuanD15 » Thu Jun 11, 2009 10:29 pm

Hi guys, well i have a 150gal rubbermaid tub and well im using it, currently i have a group of Geophagus red humps, clown plecos, and 2 Elliotis, well i was planning on moving 1 more pair to the pond, and i heard that i need some sort of Filter for it.

i have Water Lettuce & Water Hyanc?? ( i was told by a Friend this could take care of the Pond without me needing a Filter

so do i really need a Filter?

Thanks

Personally I keep some fish in pond - rather tanks outdoors - without filters, but with plants.

I do wonder, however, about the temperature. You know better than I do - obviously  - what your wether is - but do remember, for Thorichthys 20 C AVERAGE is more or less as low as you should keep them. Orangeheads require even more heat
