Hi to all! I ask experts to answer my question. Whether it is possible, that from "orange blotch" parents were born normally colored fries? And on the contrary? How polymorphism is inherited? I will be glad to any answers.

Hello,
I am not an expert but, have read on the subject. The ''OB'' factor does not work in the same fashion as a dominant gene or recessive gene; it is more complicated than that. You can get normal colored fry from ''OB'' parents

Hello len, I think neither scientifics know which genetic factors are involved in OB. You can read in
http://cichlidnews.com/index.html a very good article about OB written by Ad Knonings, it´s in april 2010 magazine.
