stopping the image being cut off

Postby PsYcHoTiC_MaDmAn » Wed Sep 09, 2009 6:45 pm

given a lot of people upload images bigger than 800by600 it might be worth getting a mod to resize the images so that it stops the images losing heads etc.

a quick google give me this

http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=347539
http://www.unframe.com/en/info/air-box-for-phpbb.html

its javascript based, so that needs to be enabled by users to ensure that the images show up. (such as me with no-script.) however most will have enabled it for the specific forum as otherwise it mucks up the ability to post messages (for example wouldn't let me add gaps between lines, took me a while to realise it was because I hadn't allowed that forum)

The second one may be worth trying. The first one, while a great mod, is for a previous version of the phpBB.
I wish I was still running a tester of phpBB somewhere. I might have someone willing to test it out though.

It's not the screen it's the resolution. The 21 I am on right now is set to 1024x768 and clips the images, whereas my nice 19 inch runs at 1600x1200 and does not clip.

I've got a 23" monitor, and when the browser is set to maximum I can see the image no problem.

however, I usually keep the browser at about 1024 wide, as I use the screen for several things at the same time. and therefore it still cuts the images
