logging on

I can log on to the forums, how ever my log in name and password does not work for the other areas of this site, such as the catalog. I cannot find a place to register and the mechanics of switching out of the forum to any other area of this site is frustrating at best. can inter site links be put in to make this site easier to navigate. Thank you
