hi
i have been keeping fishes for more than 25 yrs but first time tropheus Duboisi ,i could get only six of them ,size 1.5 to 2 cm long ,color is black with white spot.
the r in 4ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft tank with few poted plants and pipe as cave,DIY power head filter, bare bottom.
in my city i cant get high quality food so i was thinking to make home made food for them as i do for my ,discus, flower horn, red devil, green terror, jaguar, angels, and other cichlid. for my rift valley cichlid i make 20% beef heart and rest veg mix and they love it but for tropheus i dont have any idea .

so pl friends help.

Tropheus are strictly vegatarian. No beef heart or you will kill them. You mentioned you can't get food in your city. What city is that? In most places you can order online a good veggie or spirulina food. You have internet access so give it a try.

I feed all my fish New Life Spectrum (NLS) from cichlid fry through to livebearers.

at the moment I've been supplementing the diet with some spirulina flake I won. but overall feed NLS near exclusively to all the fish, and I just use the 1mm cichlid formula, I buy it in the 2,27KG (5lb) buckets, and keep the bucket in the freezer, and a small pot out for feeding as and when
