I haven't seen the paper, but I'm assuming these must correspond to Sarotherodon sp. "mudfeeder" and Sarotherodon sp. "big head". Does anyone have the paper? I'd love a copy.

A well done and informative paper. It is interesting that ''sympatric speciation'' is also possible in a comparatively small lake of relatively recent origin (see also viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10036). By the way, the authors treat the term ''sympatric speciation'' so important that it appears two times in their key words.
In the past such closely related, sympatric phenotypic forms were treated as eco-morphs of a single species. Nowadays, however, every single population or form is labeled by its own scientific name.
