Fish room air pump setup

Postby Jshakour » Mon Nov 22, 2010 9:32 pm

I recently purchase an AP-60 air pump, I have 15 tanks the deepest being 17 inches.

my question is..... what size PVC should I use? inch / 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 and why?

the longest straight run would be about 12 feet and i would set up to run in a loop.

Can't tell where you're located, but here in USA typically 1" is very readily available (& cheap!). That size will function perfectly for your application. The only advantage using 1.5" is that some folks find it easier to drill the tap holes in the larger diameter.

I went with 1 inch pvc and everything is working very nicely! I have a few minor tweaks but all is good! Thanks for the help!
