Ciclid is acting like it has a swim bladder issue

I am really confused. I have a yellow african ciclid that until yesterday was fine. He then started 'hanging' in the water. To further describe his behavior it is like he can move his front half of his body but has lost the ability to float horizontally. He hangs vertically in the water using his fins to move around. He is eating a bit and will move if one of the other fish comes near him. Any suggestions?
